FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your products handmade?

Yes! All Irogami Essentials products are handcrafted in small batches. Our soaps are cured for 4–6 weeks in our studio for the best quality.

Why does Irogami Essentials focus on simple ingredients?

At Irogami Essentials, we believe skincare doesn’t need a long list of ingredients to be effective. We carefully choose ingredients with a purpose and make our products in small batches using traditional methods. Simple, thoughtfully selected ingredients allow each product to do what it was designed to do—without unnecessary fillers or complexity.

Why do you use grass-fed beef tallow?

We proudly source our beef suet locally whenever possible and slowly render it ourselves in-house into clean, pure tallow. By rendering our own tallow, we control the quality from start to finish and avoid unnecessary additives.

Tallow is naturally rich in skin-loving fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K. It closely resembles the oils found in healthy human skin, making it an excellent moisturizer that helps support the skin’s natural barrier while leaving skin feeling soft and nourished.

Why do you infuse your tallow with coffee and vanilla?

Some of our specialty products begin with a slow infusion of locally roasted coffee or carefully sourced whole vanilla beans.

Rather than simply adding fragrance, we allow these ingredients time to naturally infuse into the tallow over many hours. This slow process develops a richer, deeper aroma and creates products with a warm, handcrafted character that reflects our Rustic Luxe philosophy.

Where do you source your honey and beeswax?

We source our honey and beeswax from local beekeepers. Supporting local apiaries not only helps our community but also provides us with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Honey is a natural humectant that helps attract moisture to the skin, while beeswax creates a breathable protective barrier that helps lock in hydration without clogging pores. Together, they create wonderfully nourishing soaps, balms, and skincare products.

Why do you infuse your own oils?

We believe good skincare begins with patience.

We locally source lavender whenever possible and grow our own rosemary, then slowly infuse these botanicals into oils such as olive oil and jojoba oil right here in our studio.

Slow herbal infusions gently extract beneficial plant compounds while creating beautifully aromatic, naturally inspired oils that become the foundation for many of our handcrafted soaps, balms, and skincare products.

What makes your Solid Dish Soap different?

Our handcrafted Solid Dish Soaps are made with only a handful of clean, effective ingredients.

We use:

  • Coconut oil for exceptional grease-cutting power and rich cleansing lather.
  • Olive oil to help keep hands feeling comfortable during daily dishwashing.
  • Castor oil to boost creamy, long-lasting lather.
  • Carefully sourced essential oils, like lemon, to provide a naturally fresh scent while helping cut through grease and kitchen odors.

No unnecessary fillers. No harsh detergents. Just simple ingredients that work.

To make your dish soap last longer: Allow the soap puck to dry completely between uses by storing it on a draining soap dish or tray. Keeping it dry will help it last significantly longer.
